A new Technical Working Paper is now available, detailing the new Scottish Longitudinal Study linkage to Education Data from ScotXed. The data consist of records from the School Census which is carried out in September every year, along with data on attendance and exclusions, including detailed reasons for the exclusions.  Attainment data are also available from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). The Working Paper describes the datasets in detail, as well as providing information on methods and linkage rates.

The addition of education data to the SLS opens up many new opportunities for research.  If you are interested in using the data, please contact us.
