LSCS announce release of synthetic data creation package ‘synthpop’
Longitudinal Studies Centre Scotland (LSCS) are pleased to announce the release of the first version of the R package ‘synthpop’ for generating synthetic versions of sensitive microdata for statistical disclosure control. The package and a vignette with a worked example are available from the CRAN at http://cran.r-project.org/package=synthpop.
The ‘synthpop’ package is under continual development so please contact us if you encounter any problem. The team would also welcome any suggestions for improving the current version – removing some limitations or adding new features.
More information about the Synthetic Data Estimation for the UK Longitudinal Studies (SYLLS) project is available on the CALLS Hub website.
