Abstract:
This study compared the NCDS with the ONS LS – a ‘gold-standard’ national reference population. Participants from the most recent NCDS 55-year survey were mostly unrepresentative of age-matched LS respondents. Despite differences in sample characteristics, longitudinal associations were similar in the NCDS and LS samples.
