Alan Marshall is a lecturer in Human Geography at the University of St Andrews. His substantive research involves quantitative analysis of longitudinal data to understand and describe the ways in which individual characteristics, life events and contextual factors (from national to neighbourhood) interact to influence health outcomes across the life course and particularly in later life.
